Flying Swans operates internationally, but it is no coincidence that it is a Dutch foundation and project organisation. We have a strong home base and support from the Dutch government, access to funding instruments and the overseas network of embassies and agricultural councils. We are active in a sector that is firmly anchored in the Dutch top-sector policy, and of strategic importance to the Dutch economy.
Flying Swans combines the strengths of core organisations from the Dutch Mainport & Greenport cluster: Port of Rotterdam, GroentenFruit Huis and project development specialist Mercator Novus. This enables us to bring high-quality Dutch solutions to the consortium, such as sustainable port management, building with nature, European food safety requirements and intermodal logistics. We take pride in our solid governance with a Programme Board, fund management from Invest International, under the watchful eye of an independent Project Advisory Committee.
